The National Advisory Board (NAB) was created so that National AMBA (American Medical Billing Association) could seek input and advice from members on issues that relate to Medical Billing and the Association, and to promote and support the mission of AMBA and the Medical Billing profession. The NAB works with National AMBA for the betterment of the entire association and the Medical Billing profession through active participation in nationally sponsored meetings, conferences, events, publications, educational programs and activities. There are several Board Members from across the nation serving one to two year terms.

Brice Duffie, CMRS, Germantown, OH

Brice Duffie is Vice President of Reimbursement for Medical Services, Incorporated, in 1999 and has been involved in medical billing since that time. RMS provides full service medical billing and consulting. Client specialties include but are not limited to Family Practice, Internal Medicine, OB/Gyn, Urgent Care, Vascular Surgery, PT, OT, SLP, and Audiology. RMS provides externships to several local adult education programs and community colleges and speaks for several medical organizations and several local hospital resident programs. Brice is one of the main organizers of the Central Ohio AMBA Chapter and is currently serving as President of the chapter.

Steven Housberg, Warwick, NY

Steve Housberg's background is in Healthcare and Practice Administration. He specializes in medical billing, consulting and related services to independent healthcare providers. Combined, his company, Peak Healthcare Solutions has over 30 years experience in the healthcare industry. Steve holds a Masters in Health Administration and Planning, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. His work experience includes small and large physician groups in Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, Radiation Oncology, and Chiropractics. Steve has also worked for Accounts Receivable Management firms and institutional healthcare providers. Steve has proven time and again to be a highly respected and valuable source of knowledge and information to our members and association.

Dana Griffith, CMRS, Westerville, OH

Dana Griffith, CMRS, owner of Columbus Medical Billing Solutions, has been a member of AMBA for several years. She serves as a moderator of the AMBA private email forum. Her company serves area physicians and medical providers. Dana serves as the Secretary of the Central Ohio AMBA Chapter and was one of the original organizers of that chapter.

Cheri Freeman, CMRS, Austin, TX

CRT Healthcare Management Systems was established in 1999 by sole proprietor, Cheri Freeman, Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist. Cheri has received training from Medicare and Provider Law TM in addition to continuing education seminars and is a member of AMBA and was instrumental in forming the Central Texas AMBA Local Chapter. Cheri's training with Provider Law™ has prepared her and her staff to deal with insurance companies and their tactics head on! She has experience with Medicare, commercial carriers, PIP, third-party liability, Worker's Compensation, and in working with attorneys. Cheri is located in the Austin, TX area, but serves clients in other areas as well.

Jackie Zube, CMRS, Englewood, CO

Jackie has nearly two decades of experience in the medical field. She began working in Physical Therapy as both Office Manager and Billing Manager. Because of her work ethic and high collections ratios, she was soon promoted to District Manager for clinics in four Mid-western states. She then managed a Podiatry office and worked for a billing service where she gained experience in OB/Gyn, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Orthopaedics, and Family Practice. Jackie started The Billing Office, Inc., in 1998 and has worked diligently to build a reputable and quality conscious firm. She has assembled a competent and knowledgeable billing staff with extensive experience in other medical disciplines such as Urgent Care, Third Party Collections and other specialties.
